Microphone for hot-shoe-mount on the Eos R5

Good morning!
As I am in my late 80s and am no longer physically able to climb high mountains, I have started making more videos of animals in the last few months.
To get better sound, I want to buy two microphones, both of which have good wind protection and fit on the hot shoe on the camera.
One should have a lobe characteristic for selected birds, the other should also record the sound in the surrounding area.
My previous microphone (no name product) transmits the autofocus of the R5 extremely loudly.
Can you give me some advice?

Thanks

Most of the Rode microphones use some form for ‘shock mount’ to stop the transfer of autofocus and handling noises.

I’ve only used the Rode video micro, with the ‘dead cat’ and it worked well enough for family videos. I don’t know how well it would handle birds.

I didn’t want to start a new thread for this. But I’m searching for a mic to use that doesn’t register handling noise and my hands changing settings and came across some wireless mic’s. And my question is, why wouldn’t I just use wireless mics, they’re often cheaper than a mono shotgun mic. They sound fantastic and like the Saramonic BlinkMe B2 I get two transmitters and can separate my stereo channels how far apart I want to, they look fantastic! Why aren’t people just using these?

My guess would be effort and batteries :) I was thinking along the same lines when I realized that remembering to bring the microphone I currently have is already too much for me.

I wish it was possible to use bluetooth for external audio, removing handling and wind noise would make up for the relatively poor fidelity.
So much room to make quality of life improvements for hobbyists like me.

I use the DJI Mic2 transmitters linked to a DJI Mic2 receiver, which sits in the hot shoe.
Seems DJI have a receiver adaptor for the Sony hotshoe.
No need for the 3.5 mm jack cable and it also powers the receiver.
Maybe we will get a Canon Adaptor for the new hot shoe soon
